About
"Kaeluc From Me to You" is a free digital Kaeluc zine that celebrates your kaeluc AUs.The goal is to showcase to the world the kaeluc stories you've created or want to create through art, writing, digital merch, or any other form of creation you see fit!A few guests have already been working hard since May to prepare a tasteful selection of Kaeluc AUs for the community, and now, you can join them via public submissions.Do note that public submissions will not get spotlights like guests, but you are welcome in the zine nonetheless if you want your piece to be featured in it!Finally, make sure to check the rules so you don't forget anything!
How to submit
The form will stay open from August 15 to October 15Prepare:
The piece you want to submit
The name you want to be credited as
A short blurb that explains your AU, if you want to add details (worldbuilding, inspiration, how it came to you...)
Content warnings, if applicable
Up to two social media links
If you have a shop, Patreon, etc. you can include the link!
Your piece must respect the rules or it will be rejected!
Rules & Guidelines
SUBMITTING AI-GENERATED RESULTS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. All submissions must be human-made.
Only fixed Kaeluc is accepted (SFW & NSFW)
NSFW & Dead Dove pieces must come with warnings
Hetbend & Genderbend are accepted, with tags!
Make sure your piece meets the requirements before submitting
A maximum of 1 piece per craft is accepted (meaning you can submit max. 1 fic, 1 page art, and 1 digital merch collection if you want to). Fill the form each time

Your piece stays SECRET until Nov 30! DO NOT post it publicly!
Needs to be an AU you created
No franchise crossover since it would be redundant with the Kaeluc Crossover Fest. AUs inspired by franchises are okay though! In short:

Art Guidelines
Min. a clean sketch, colored or B&W. Comics are accepted. You can do concepts with scribbles/doodles if you want to explain your AU!
Ideally A4-size. Since it's a digital zine, you can color in RGB, unless you're doing printable merch - in which case CYMK
Backgrounds aren't necessary (we hate bgs in this house). Unless you love drawing them, in which case, have at it and I'll watch admiratively 😀
Fic Guidelines
Min. 1k words, Max. 5k words (you're free to expand on your AU once you publish it online though, on Dec 24!)
Poetry and plays are allowed! No min words for them, but if they're very short (Rupi Kaur style) I'd recommend making 2-3 poems
Please highlight special formatting in your fic (bold, italics, block quotes, etc.) in a bright color so I can spot them easily during formatting.

They must be yours. Using official Genshin pictures for your edits is okay though (just make sure it's an AU!)Handmade Crafts
Clay sculpting, crochet, sewing clothes for your Kaeluc plushies, etc. are all accepted! Make sure to submit a high res picture of your piece in decent lighting (and don't forget it has to be an AU).
Your Zine Experience
Collabing is okay! You don't need my approval to collab with someone, just indicate it in your form submission
If you wish to, you can prepare a short blurb to share something about the AU you created. For example:
"I created this idol AU because the thought of Kaeya singing 'I will be your man forever' keeps me up at night. I really wanted Diluc to experience the telltale 'I just want to learn their names' sign that secures your one-way ticket to the rabbit hole. It's dear to me because my favorite idols make me happy and I wanted Kaeluc to feel this happiness. It's super self-indulgent, but that's what fandom should be about!"You will be allowed to post your final pieces on social media starting from December 24th (Merry Christmas!). Tag us then so we can retweet it!

What counts as an AU?
The list is too long to fit in one post, but here are some ideas:
Modern AUs: College, High school, Actors, Idol, Florist/Tattoo artist, Streamers, Video Games, etc.
Sci Fi & Fantasy AUs: Urban Fantasy, Vampire/Werewolf, Magic schools, Royalty, Superheroes, etc.
Canon-based AUs: Crepus Lives, Diluc is a Fatui, Family swaps (Diluc is the one fostered by Kaeya's family), etc.

Is it okay if I write a fixed kaeluc fic for the zine if my AU is switch?
As long as your zine fic is fixed kaeluc and tagged as such, that's fine! Make sure to publish any switching in a separate fic (a sequel for example from the same series) and appropriately tag it. It won't be associated with the zine, but it's your AU, so you have full control over it!
Can I make something based on an AU I shared publicly (for example, in brainrots, concepts, short threadfics, etc.)?
Yes! Just make sure the piece you're making for the zine is new, even if based on an existing AU of yours.
